I’d wanted to take the same photo as the previous day (#38) but as a slow exposure…however I didn’t have enough time to get down to the rock wall before this beautiful view disappeared!
Probably my least liked photo so far
I was pretty proud at myself for getting up two days in a row
I’ve long been a fan of the Lonely Spec (ok, I’ve been a fan since like December, that’s long enough in internet time) and have had a great deal of fun reading through their awesome and inspiring posts on astro photography. I was even inspired so far as to buy a fisheye lens and have a go myself…With limited success as I can’t really find any dark skies in Sydney but should I ever find myself in the Aussie outback I’m now prepared! It also has some fantastic info on how to de-fish a fisheye photo which is brilliant for when you want a nice wide photo with little distortion.
More recently I’ve been looking at a new website the crew at Lonely Spec have been working on, The Photon Collective which is still growing but already has some awesome stuff including this little tutorial on Levitation Photography.
Before I humiliate myself in public I decided to have a go in the privacy on my own home. I’m pretty happy with the results so far and can’t wait to try some more stuff and maybe offer more tips that weren’t covered in The Photon Collective’s tutorial.
Why do people go fishing so early? Are fish more active in the morning? Or is there just less people?
Love little details…thinking about getting some macro tubes. One of the main downside to the X-E1 is the focusing distance!
This morning was really beautiful, I don’t quite feel like I did it justice!
